Victoria’s Secret angels are, by definition, otherworldly.

The average woman can’t hope to look like one of them because they’re genetically predisposed to being impossibly tall and slim. After all, you can’t out-train body types.

But you can diversify what society deems to be beautiful and attractive – thus giving more women a chance to love their bodies and have a chance to shine.

Surely it’s time for VS to include a few average sized women in their shows? SURELY.

In the meantime, however, sisters Alyse and Lexi Scaffidi have been hosting their own ‘Anti-Victoria’s Secret Runway Show‘ which proves that ‘any woman can be an angel’.

‘We actually came up with the idea during last year’s VS Fashion Show, as we were sitting there mesmerized by the spectacular fashion designs. We wanted to be angels ourselves, but we knew that wouldn’t be possible,’ they tell the Huffington Post.

The sisters, both fitness influencers, understand the limitations that most women face which prevent them from even contemplating modelling or becoming angels.

And so, this show has been a celebration of diversity – including women in wheelchairs, cancer survivors, and models with dwarfism.

‘The show was not about celebrating obesity or anorexia, it’s about breaking away from a stereotypical look of what is beautiful and celebrating who you are as a person.

‘Recreating the VS Fashion Show was our chance to make 21 girls’ dream of being a runway angel come true, and in the process, we hope to inspire body confidence amongst other women.’

And they all looked incredible
