Guy upsets the internet with his melted candy cane pizza creation
Forget the does-pineapple-go-on-a-pizza debate, because one man has created an even bigger stir – by serving up a pizza smothered in melted candy canes.
Sure, it may be festive, but ridiculous amounts of red and white sugar on a cheesy base? No thanks.
David Sanchez doesn’t seem to agree with us – as he recently took to Twitter to share a guide to creating the incredibly Christmasy pizza.
David shared images of his DiGiorno Rising Crust pizza, which he’d topped with lots of candy canes before cooking in the oven thus melting the candy canes and serving up to his partner – who seemed to look as though she was actually enjoying the super-sweet dish.
David captioned the tweet: ‘Tis the season…to be jolly, my dudes.’
Understandably, Twitter went into a meltdown, with David’s tweet receiving more than 300 responses from outraged users.

Obviously, we’re hoping this is all one big joke and that David didn’t actually think the pizza was a good idea – though considering the fact he used an entire pizza for this creation, we’re doubting this is the case.

Nobody would be awful enough to waste an entire pizza, would they?
Real or not, we’re just praying this pizza doesn’t actually become a Christmas thing. A one-off is fine, but we’re not sure we could stomach seeing this monstrous creation every year.
