Meghan Markle‘s outfits, from here on in, will be scrutinised, judged, ranked, adored and desperately emulated – it comes with the package when you’re marrying into the royal family.

She’s so far made two official engagements with her husband-to-be and, consequently, pushed a range of high street and designer labels’ sales through the roof as the ‘Meghan effect’ takes full hold.

That black high neck jumper you saw and ignored as you walked through Marks & Spencer the other day is suddenly the best thing since sliced bread – Meghan wore it so therefore you must have it. Meghan is a retailer’s dream.

So because there is no denying the hold she has on the British public’s future fashion choices, here we detail each of the outfits she’s carefully selected with her team to wear on her public engagements with Harry – y’know, so you can copy them.

And although the vast majority of her wardrobe items are sold out online, don’t fret – you’ll undoubtedly be able to find a similar item from another retailer who’s already jumped on the Meghan bandwagon.

The coat

Meghan’s royal blue coat worn for her Nottingham visit is a staple of her wardrobe, with the former actress having been spotted in it a number of times. The double-breasted piece, called Elodie, is by Canadian label Mackage and costs £550.

The boots

Meghan’s ultra-stylish boots came from high street designer Kurt Keiger and cost £229. The slouchy, over-the-knee boots are no doubt sold out everywhere by now, but you might be able to find some department stories still stocking them online.

The skirt

Meghan’s stylish beige skirt is by British brand Joseph, named Laurel, and costs £390. It’s sold out online but pesky shoppers may be able to find it in some stores still.

Underneath Meghan’s coat was a black, high neck jumper by Austrian brand Wolford. At the time of writing, it’s still available online and retails for £180. Hoorah!

The bag

Meghan’s now-iconic Strathberry bag – an Edinburgh-based designer – sold out within just 11 minutes of Meghan’s visit to Nottingham. In fact, one of the £295 bags ended up being auctioned for charity to raise money for the Terrence Higgins Trust.

Meghan Markle’s Brixton visit

The coat

Meghan’s stunning coat gave her look a relaxed yet sophisticated look. Called Brando, it comes in the beige she chose, as well as a dark grey, and is by Smythe, retailing at £585. Sadly, it’s sold out, meaning you’ll have to hunt for a replica. Top tip: Try some US shopping sites.

It’s the £45 jumper that sold out in every single size just hours after Meghan wore it on her Brixton visit. Marks & Spencer, who claim they had no prior knowledge Meghan had chosen an item from their Autograph collection, even re-stocked it two days later but, again, it sold out imminently. You might be able to find it in stores, rather than online, if you hurry.

The trousers

Meghan teamed her Marks & Spencer jumper with a pair of stunning Burberry Stockport Slouchy Trousers. They were sold at £406 but it seems she may have had these before her visit to the radio station, as they’ve been out of stock for months.

The scarf

The beige Jigsaw Sara Sewn On Fringe Scarf retailed at £69 – not bad, considering it’s of royal standards. It even went into the sale at £34 but, predictably, it sold out when Meghan wore it. It’s unlikely Jigsaw will replenish their stock but it shouldn’t be too hard to find a beige fringed scarf on the market.

The shoes

Meghan opted for a suede heel for a second outing, choosing Sarah Flint’s Jay Pump 100 style. There are some larger sizes available, at the time of writing, but – as ever – you’ll have to act quick.
