Texas basketball star Andrew Jones didn’t let a fight with leukemia stop him from getting some shots up in the gym.

Jones was recently diagnosed and it’s obviously put his basketball career with the Longhorns on hold.

However, the sophomore star posted a video of himself late Wednesday in what appears to be a hospital’s gym getting a few shots up.

Is it just me or is it a bit dusty in here after watching that video? I’m not even sure I have the words necessary to describe how powerful it is to see Jones hitting the gym, despite being in such a fragile state.

That’s a guy who just isn’t ready to give up. That’s the warrior’s spirit we should all hope to have in our souls. All we can do for Jones is hope that his medical treatment works, he gets healthy and we see him back on the basketball court for Texas. I’ve never once cheered for the Longhorns, but I’m certainly cheering for Jones to make a glorious return.

After all, basketball is a walk in the park compared to beating cancer.
