Eminem Is Ripping On The NRA Today. Here Are 10 Times He Talked About Shooting People

Eminem slammed the NRA on Sunday during an iHeartRadio Music Awards performance in Inglewood, CA. In the middle of his song “Nowhere Fast,” he added a freestyle lyric criticizing the NRA.

He said:

This whole country is going nuts, and the NRA is in our way/They’re responsible for this whole production/They hold the strings, they control the puppet/And they threaten to take donor bucks/So they know the government won’t do nothing and no one’s budging/Gun owners clutching their loaded weapons/They love their guns more than our children.

It would be one thing if Eminem was an unassuming victim of gun violence with a squeaky clean record. But that’s not even close to being the case. Eminem was arrested in 2001 on gun charges after he pistol whipped a man with a concealed weapon outside of a bar in Warren, MI. He was given two years of probation and ordered to pay $7,560 in court fees.

Pretty interesting, seeing as Eminem is now advocating for stricter gun laws and criticizing the responsible members of the NRA.

But getting arrested for irresponsible gun ownership is just the beginning of Eminem’s shaky past with guns. He’s written dozens of lyrics about shooting women, killing schoolchildren, and using guns to intimidate his enemies. None of which sound very legal to me.

Here are Eminem’s 10 most violent lyrics involving guns.

1.) “I’m Back”
I take seven kids from Columbine, stand ’em all in line
Add an AK-47, a revolver, a nine
A Mack-11 and it oughta solve the problem of mine
And that’s a whole school of bullies shot up all at one time

2.) “Get My Gun”
Bet you ain’t know that I’m strapped
Nice one, b*tch, this is my gat
(I’m gonna get my gun!)

3.) “One Shot 2 Shot”
Into the same entrance hall now the strays flying all over the place
Grazed one b*tch in the face another one of ’em came through the wall
Before anyone could even hear the first shot go off
I’m posted up by the bar having a Mazel Tov
Bullet whizzed right by my ear damn near shot it off
Thank god I’m alive I gotta find a nine

4.) “Kill You”
Put your hands down bitch, I ain’t gon’ shoot you
I’mma pull you to this bullet, and put it through you

5.) “Gun In Your Grill”
I’ll shove a gun in your grill
grease it and heat it
smother it in hot mustard
so when i feed it to you
it’s easy to eat it

6.) “Pistol Pistol”
The clip slider, love to blast a Mag, you’re a fag
You love being ass to ass
Grab a gun by the nose with the butt to gat spank ya

7.) “Sing For The Moment”
They say music can alter moods and talk to you
Well can it load a gun up for you and cock it too?

8.) “We Shine”
We quick to pull the gat out and set it
And leave you with more shit missin than a Lil’ Kim radio edit

9.) “Any Man”
I hope God forgives me for my sins — it probably all depends
On if I keep on killin my girlfriends

10.) “If I Get Locked Up”
The first man who taught me how a Glock sounded to spray
Runnin’ up and down the street, screamin’, ‘F*ck the police!’
When you still had your mother’s f*ckin’ nipple stuck in your teeth
Became a role model after Colorado

That last one is a reference to Columbine. Which tops this list off with a total of two school shooting references and over a dozen people shot in these songs alone. Doesn’t exactly sound like Eminem is the best person to advocate for gun safety.
