The Vegas Golden Knights won the franchises first playoff game Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Kings, and the fans brought some unreal energy.

ESPNs Darren Rovell tweeted out a video of fans prior to the game, and it looked as good as any sports atmosphere Ive recently seen. The fans were going absolutely wild as their team prepared to square up with the Kings.

Remember when people said pro sports could never work in Las Vegas? I really hope those people feel foolish.

The Golden Knights have taken the league by storm, and have done it in dominating fashion. They even opened up at +20,000 to win the Stanley Cup, and now are the fourth favored team. Its almost like the hockey gods have decided that hockey will succeed in Vegas no matter what happens. The whole hockey world has united behind them, and things are really going to get crazy if they win a couple series.

Also, the Oakland Raiders have to be excited to see this much fan engagement. Imagine how people will treat an NFL team in town if this is how an NHL team is embraced. Its going to be wild.
