Flip-flops are a beach essential but theyre actually quite annoying.

They flip sand up your leg, offer minimal support, and arent exactly ideal for those of us with overpronation *foot slides off*.

A company from Portugal has made a sandal called the Iguaneye Jungle, which they claim lets you walk as if barefoot, on any type of ground.

Theres nothing like the feeling of finally taking your shoes off and letting your feet breathe at the end of the day, the shoes campaign video says.

The dream is walking barefoot on the beach and ideally anywhere, but on rough ground our feet need to be protected. Flip-flops and other types of sandals have a design that hasnt evolved for centuies. They are inefficient and old-fashioned.

The ultra-minimal piece of technical rubber only wrap around your big toe and heel, and is inspired by the Amazonian Indians, who used to dip their feet directly into natural latex to create a second skin, thereby protecting their feet.
