Fox confirmed Monday that Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will call the games for upcoming “Thursday Night Football” broadcasts.

According to ProFootball Talk, the duo — who will already do color commentary for some of the networks biggest Sunday games — will do double-duty for the upcoming Thursday night games on the network for the 2018 season.

“They will call all the doubleheader games, as well as the Thursday games,” Fox Sports President Eric Shanks said, according to Sports Business Daily.

Buck is already Foxs lead sportscaster for its baseball coverage and the network will most likely need to find a replacement for him when hes calling the baseball playoffs in the fall.

Fox had reportedly hoped to land Peyton Manning or Jason Witten for its 2018 coverage, but after both declined to take the top job, the network decided on Buck and the pro-Football Hall of Fame quarterback to lead the night.

Manning said he wasnt ready for the broadcast booth just yet and Witten accepted ESPNs offer to be part of its “Monday Night Football” broadcast team.
