The internet debate over whether a computer voice is saying “Laurel” or “Yanny” has finally reached the White House, where staffers were on both sides of the issue.

But the final decision falls to President Donald Trump, and he put the controversy to bed once and for all.

While senior White House officials debated over which word the computer voice was saying, Trump heard one word clearly: covfefe.

In a funny new video released Thursday night by the White House, senior staff all heard one or the other, which senior advisor Kellyanne Conway joking she heard Laurel, “but I could deflect and divert to Yanny, if you need me to.”

At the end of the video, President Trump, sitting in the Oval Office, says, “I hear covfefe.” That is a reference to his famous incomplete tweet from last year.
