Its not a wedding unless someone says something mean about it afterwards.

In our case its usually a snark about the free bar ending too early. But, as we all know, royal weddings are different. Which is exactly why designer Emilia Wicksteads comments about Meghan Markles dress is such big news.

Emilia, who also designs wedding dresses, seemed to suggest that Meghans Givenchy dress was copied from one of her own designs. She is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: Her dress is identical to one of our dresses… …Apparently a lot of commentators were saying, “Its an Emilia Wickstead dress.

She also didnt feel that the Givenchy dress fitted properly, saying: If you choose a simple design the fit should be perfect. Her wedding dress was quite loose.

Oh, and her relaxed hairstyle didnt pass muster either. Emilia said: I was like, “Hold the wisps [of her hair] back — its a Royal Wedding for Gods sake.

The Emillia Wickstead dress which most closely resembles Meghans Givenchy one is the £7,000 Helene dress.

Emillia Wickstead is a favourite designer of Kate Middletons, though we wonder if KM might side with her new sister-in-law and stop wearing Wickstead, after those comments about the wedding dress.

Both the Helene dress and Meghans £200,000 Givenchy wedding dress feature a boat neckline and long sleeves, so theres some similarity. But as an uneducated observer, one might ask: how different can two long dresses really be?
