Nigeria up the ante with their World Cup wardrobe

Arguably the most stylish team in the World Cup based on their playing strip, Nigeria has upped the ante ahead of the tournament kick-off with some visually stunning additions to their wardrobes.

The Super Eagles already turned heads with their chevron-patterned, two-tone green playing kit — voted your favourite of all the kits on show at the World Cup this year — but have reached new heights with their off-field attire.

After touching down in Russia ahead of their opening clash with Croatia in Kaliningrad this weekend, the Nigerians showed off their new travel-wear on social media.

Nigeria appear to be taking the mantra, look good, feel good, play good to a whole new level as the Group D side stepped off the plane wearing white suits with green trim, complete with white loafers and hats.

The Super Eagles even rock a floral motif on the team's travel tracksuit, something that has caught the eye of opposition players.

The off-field kit alone should be enough for most neutrals to cheer for Nigeria to progress as far as possible in the tournament — which could be possible from an intriguing Group D.

They will come up against an Argentinian side that struggled to convince in qualifying, despite the presence of Lionel Messi, World Cup minnows Iceland and an ageing Croatian team.

The 48th ranked Nigeria will need to improve on their one win in five pre-tournament friendlies if they are to pull off a shock and progress.
