Remember the woman who almost dumped her boyfriend after finding out the horrific way he eats KitKats?

Well, she ignored the haters and chose her man over chocolates. And its worked out for the pair because hes just asked her to marry him.

So, how do you propose to the woman who achieved national fame by teasing the way you eat chocolate-covered wafer biscuits?

With a KitKat, of course.

Evan Wilt was a KitKat virgin when he incorrectly ate one, all fingers at once, but girlfriend Haley Byrd wasnt going to let him live it down.

Much like the way he eats chocolate goods, Evan decided to propose in an unusual way.

Clearly not a man of convention, Evan used a 3D model of a KitKat (did you really think hed use an actual KitKat?), which had a slot for the ring.

Getting down on one knee, he whipped out the four-finger bar and asked her to marry him.

And she said yes, but not before adding: he still doesnt know how to eat a KitKat.

Of course, the Twitterverse was there (virtually) to stan the whole thing.

For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, in incorrect KitKat eating, until death do us part, wrote one cheeky chap.

Aww sweet. Congratulations! Now you will have a lifetime to teach him how to do it right wrote another.

Even KitKat got in on the action saying: I think our crispy wafer has always been a treat tbh, but this certainly takes the cake!

Chocolates really do make everything better.
