Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik could be on the move

Thursday, October 19, 2017

Everton and Leicester City have received a boost after Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik revealed he would consider a New Year loan away.

Both Premier League clubs were in the running to land the Poland international in the summer of 2016 but it was Napoli who won the race to land him.

However his first year in Italy has been wrecked by injury and he is currently recovering from his second cruciate ligament problem in the space of 12 months.

It has been suggested that Napoli could allow him to leave on loan when the window opens so he can get some first-team football under his belt ahead of the summer's World Cup.

Reports in Italy have suggested that Chievo would be keen on landing him temporarily but the news may alert both Leicester and Everton to his availability.

Now Milik has confirmed he'd be up leaving on loan.

"I had my operation three weeks ago," he is quoted as saying by TuttoNapoli.

"The knee is still a bit swollen, and it hurts me sometimes, but I feel better every day and for the time being the rehabilitation is going well.

"I don't rule out a loan to another club. It would be a quick way to recover to be at 100 per cent as soon as possible."
