We’re on the constant lookout for hacks. From the the cheap McFlurry cheat to getting more annual leave, we can’t get enough.

And Christmas is no different. If the thought of cooking a feast for your family and friends over the festive period fills you with dread rather than excitement (we’re in the former camp, FYI), get ready to relax.

Gousto, the meal kit retailer, has recently launched the Get-Together-Box, a Christmas recipe box for those entertaining this holiday period.

It says it offers a twist on Christmas classics and offerings include balsamic and redcurrant glazed pork loin, pork and sage and cranberry sausage rolls.

The box also includes caramelised mushroom & cheddar brioche sliders, beetroot hummus with baby vegetable crudites and a king prawn cocktail. And for dessert, a brownie and blackberry possets with honeycomb.

Serving up to eight people, each recipe uses 100% British meat, sustainable fish and free-range eggs.

‘We wanted to provide our customers with a recipe box that would help alleviate the pressures of entertaining during the holidays. Offering simplicity and convenience at a good price, you can put the focus back on what’s important – eating yummy food and sharing quality time with loved ones,’ said Alan Rosenthal, Head of Food at Gousto.

And that’s not all – Gousto will be including a party prep guide, with tips on how to prep dinner, a quiz to play and a gingerbread mix to get the kids baking. Oh, and a mulled wine recipe because what is Crimbo without mulled wine?

If you’re looking to order yet, don’t be so hasty. Box pre-orders won’t be shipped out for a few weeks.

Gousto’s Get-together Box is £74.99 with free delivery. It’s available to existing and new customers who sign up via the website

Here’s to (quite literally) putting your feet up.
