If you haven’t sorted your pre-Christmas dinner plans yet – AKA the miniature Christmas meal that’s an excuse for you and your friends to get merry before the magical day – then get your diaries out and start planning, because we’ve found the ultimate foodie experience.
Barbecue and burger restaurant Smoke Yard, which is located in Oldham, Manchester, has just started offering a super sweet afternoon tea, and it’s all very pink and incredibly cheesy.
Smoke Yard recently took to its Instagram account to announce that they would be serving their afternoon tea as of tomorrow, 5 December.
It features halloumi fries and tomato dip, avocado, radish and tomato bruschetta, brie ‘cheesy toast’ with caramelised onion, skin-on fries, Cajun chicken salad, salted caramel cheesecake, toasted marshmallow and brownies, strawberries and Hershey’s chocolate sauce, a bucket of popcorn and finally, a pink unicorn mini-shake.
To add to the afternoon tea element, you also have a choice of tea or coffee – or if you’re feeling extra fancy (it is Christmas, after all) you can opt for some candy floss Prosecco.
Smoke Yard has been taking to its social media recently to debut the new afternoon tea, and foodies have been going crazy for it.
A picture of the afternoon tea has so far received more than 400 likes on Instagram and nearly 2,000 likes on Facebook – with more than 2,000 commenting to say they’d like to book in.
Just in case you don’t fancy the afternoon tea, Smoke Yard also offers a range of other sweet treats – and it seems they have a love of salted caramel.
There’s a Ferrero Rocher and Salted Caramel Milkshake…
You can also try a Salted Caramel and Popcorn Cheesecake
Their Nutella Hot Chocolate, which comes with a toasted waffle, Oreos and a giant marshmallow looks to die for
And we’d love to try their giant Pink Unicorn freakshake – which comes with Pink Panther wafers, a ‘marshmallow rainbow’, Rainbow Drops, fairy dust and a strawberry sauce topping
Obviously, we’re super sad that Smoke Yard doesn’t have restaurants all over the UK – but hey, Manchester isn’t too far away – and has there ever been a better excuse for a cheap weekend break as an early Christmas present?
