Ruthie Davis has been designing shoes for celebs for ages.
She’s kitted out the most famous feet, from Beyoncé to Lady Gaga.
But recently, she’s swapped the red carpet for the hallowed halls of Disney to create a collection of ‘princess power shoe’s inspired by the 11 princesses.
And she’s kicking off with Snow White – just in time with the film’s 80th anniversary this year.
‘The Disney people saw my designs and asked if they could work with me directly, and the rest is history,’ Ruthie tells The Hollywood Reporter.
‘I will cycle through the 11 Disney princesses as important princess milestones come up, from a film to a birthday or anniversary.’
The eight Snow White shoes are available for pre-order now but they don’t come cheap.
The line starts at a swift $498 (£372) and go up to $798 (£596).
So we’re not talking kiddie prices here, people.
And while some designs will feature pretty obvious Disney art, others are going to be much more subtle (which you’d hope for at that price) – including sandals with crystals inspired by the gemstones the seven dwarfs mined.
Ruthie says: ‘There are a lot of entertaining surprises, like a little rose gold dwarf head on one of the shoes, that you might not even notice until you are tying the laces, and mini hand mirror zipper pulls’.
The next princess to get the royal shoe treatment?
Mulan, who’s collection will be out next Autumn ahead of the live-action movie due out in 2019.
‘Mulan is very strong and courageous, determined, really independent,’ Ruthie explains.
‘She’s a warrior and the epitome of don’t-mess-with-me girl power versus Snow White, who is a little sweeter and more innocent as she is a princess from 80 years ago.’
