Colin Kaepernick visited the formal deposition of Texans owner Bob McNair today – and seemed to be over the moon about it.

TMZ reports the former QB attended the first hearing in his case agains the NFL. Kaepernick believes the NFL colluded to keep him out of the league out of a deeply held racism among owners. He filed the grievance last year, claiming NFL executives worked together to “blackball” the Quarterback because he was too controversial.

Kaepernick flew into Houston early this week to catch the hearing with his attorney Ben Meiselas but he’s also in town to throw the football a little.

According to Yahoo! Sports report Charles Robinson, Kaepernick did a 90 minute throwing workout in a private practice in Houston earlier this week.

So guess which former #NFL player went through a 90-minute throwing workout on a private Houston area practice field this morning?

Colin Kaepernick.

Despite having to duck security, I was able to view the whole workout. He looked good. I’ll have a little something on it soon. pic.twitter.com/gIcbvF1iaD

Kaepernick probably won’t play another NFL game in his life but he gets an A for effort. Other witnesses subpoenaed the case include Jerry Jones, Bob Kraft, and Seahawks coach Pete Carrol and Seahawks owner Paul Allen.

Regardless of the outcome, Kaepernick’s case is likely to be pretty high profile, especially as skepticism for the NFL grows on both sides of the political spectrum.
