If you have an ASOS addiction, you might have noticed that some of the items youre frequently adding to your wish list actually have human names – such as Lucy shoes and the Stephanie dress.

Take a scroll through ASOSs site. Youll quickly find a bunch of baby name inspiration while youre looking at tops and jumpers.

But if you thought these names had just occurred out of ASOS lack of name inspiration, you were wrong – because theres actually a pretty cute meaning behind the named clothing.

Lucy Gedney recently revealed the meaning on Twitter.

She explained that apparently, on ASOS, if an item of clothing has someones name at the start of it, it means that person has been at the company for a certain amount of years.

How lovely is that?

The tweet has since been confirmed by someone who actually works at ASOS.

Chloe OKeefe, ASOS menswear established branded buyer for ASOS, responded: Ten years!! Havent named mine yet but you can pick anything and any name

To be honest, we think having actual fashion named after you is a pretty cool job perk to have.

Heres to hoping it also comes with a pay rise.
