Official Stephon Clark Autopsy Released By Coroner

Sacramento police released Tuesday an official autopsy from the police shooting of 22-year-old Stephon Clark in March.

The autopsy revealed that Clark was shot seven times instead of the eight claimed by the independent doctor hired by his family.

Another key difference included mistaking an exit wound for an entry wound, which would have given the impression that Clark was shot first in the back or side. Instead, according to Fox News, “The countys reviewer says Clark was most likely shot as he approached police — a conclusion thats consistent with the officers story.”

“The entire interaction, he had his back to the officers,” said Dr. Bennet Omalu, who was hired to conduct the March autopsy.

The autopsy also revealed that the 22-year-old had marijuana traces in his system and was legally drunk at the time of death.

Clarks death ignited a firestorm of controversy over race and police use of deadly force.
