Maybe It Isnt The Caps Year After All, Following Embarrassing Loss
I might have been a shade too quick to suggest it was finally the year for the Washington Capitals to win it all, judging from their embarrassing loss last night.

I looked forward to game three between the Caps and the Tampa Bay Lightning all day yesterday. It was at the top of my mind leading all the way up to the game. My neck was on the line after taking a firm stance that a win would mean that the Caps had locked up the series, and were bound for the Stanley Cup.
Well, game time finally rolled around and it was a disaster for a variety of reasons. I fired up the television, only to then have power surges due to a thunderstorm. The lightning was majestic. The same cant be said for the Caps play. (SLIDESHOW: HOCKEY RINKS MIGHT BE COLD, BUT THESE WOMEN ARE SCORCHING HOT)
The television eventually started working and the power was restored. I wish it hadnt been, because it was painful watching the Caps play. Where was the energy, defense or anything else really necessary to win big games? Hopefully, this 4-2 loss was just a minor hiccup, because they wont last long with a few more performances like this one. (RELATED: NHL STARS WIFE DISPLAYS INSANE POST-BABY BODY)
Then again, hockey is all about how much a team can take in the moment. The Caps are now feeling the heat, which will hopefully amp them up to get the job done. Only time will tell. Either way, Ill be drinking beer and doing all I can to support the team, including putting absurdly unrealistic expectations on them from a fan of the team for less than three years.
