USC Doctor Is Now Facing Sexual Misconduct Allegations

A University of Southern California (USC) doctor is now facing sexual misconduct allegations, according to a Los Angeles Times Wednesday report.

George Tydall, 71, a full-time gynecologist at USCs health center, is accused of sexual deviance toward the schools young female students, LA Times reported.

Tydall allegedly made sexually suggestive comments, inappropriately touching his patients, and storing photos of female genitals. He later was permitted to quietly resign in 2016 before being fired in 2017. His unidentified chaperones, assistants who accompany a male gynecologist when he is seeing a patient, disclosed information about his alleged misconduct to the Times.

“He would put one finger in and say, Oh, I think it will fit. Lets put two fingers in,'” said one of Tydalls former chaperones.”He would tell young ladies their hymens are intact. Dont worry about it; your boyfriends gonna love it,'” another chaperone recalled.

A former patient of Middle Eastern heritage also accused Tydall of making lewd remarks and racially insensitive statements when she went for a prescription for birth control. “He offered me a little baggie of blood I could pop on my wedding night so my husband would think I was a virgin,” she said. “I was weirded out, but I was in a rush to get birth control.” However, the doctor only gave her a two-month prescription, forcing her to return back to his practice quickly.

“He asked how many times wed tried and if it hurt because I was tight,” she said in regards to their follow-up.

Tydall denied the allegations, claiming the chaperones who reported him were jealous since they could not orgasm as well as his younger patients with tight vaginal muscles. Tydall also renewed his medical license in January, saying he aspires to work well into his 80s. This prompted the university to make a report to the California Medical Board on March 9, 2018, according to a summary of the schools investigation into Tydalls behavior.
