Beer and chocolate come together in this new cocoa-infused lager

If you love chocolate and you love beer then weve got some good news: the two are coming together to form a beautiful cocoa-infused lager.

Craft beer brand, Garage Project, from New Zealand, is partnering with Whittakers chocolate to feed everyones sweet tooth with a chocolate brew.

Sad news for us Brits though because the drinks will only be available in New Zealand before making its way across Australia.

Its currently being trialled in Wellington before it goes on sale nationwide.

Award-winning brand Garage Project, which experiments with its beers, has teamed up with Whittaker which was voted New Zealands most trusted chocolate company.

So the two should know what theyre talking about.

The brands revealed the details of the lagers on their Instagram page with followers anticipating its release, many of whom lamented not living in the two countries selling it.

One wrote: This will be amazing…maybe we could bring some over there to the UK? while another cheekily said: We are already smuggling the chocolate home. So why not the beer?

Its not the first time beer and chocolate has come together and you dont have to go down under to get your hands on some either – because there are plenty of variations available right here in the UK.

Howlings has a chocolate stout as does Tuatara, you can also get Sirens indulgent Caribbean Chocolate Cake stout which has a fruity cake taste.
