Blasey Ford Sends Senate Sworn Letter Of Four People She Told Her Allegations, But None Were At The Party

Lawyers for Christine Blasey Ford say they submitted sworn declarations to the Senate Judiciary Committee from four people who say she told them about her alleged assault by Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

The documents, which were obtained by USA Today, reportedly contain sworn declarations from Blasey Fords husband and three friends that she told them of an alleged assault before Kavanaugh was nominated to the Supreme Court in 2012, 2013, 2016 and 2017. None of them claim they were at the high school party Blasey Ford describes in her allegations.

The first affidavit from Russell Ford states she shared details of a sexual assault during a couples therapy session in 2012 and mentioned Kavanaugh by name.

In the years following, Russell said in the statement that he and his wife “spoke a number of times about how the assault affected her.”

Another affidavit from Keith Koegler, who coached Blasey Fords son in baseball, also says she mentioned Kavanaugh by name in an email on June 29.

He said Blasey Ford initially told Koegler about an assault in 2016 as the two watched their kids play outside together, according to the letter. (RELATED: Yale Law Professor Says Reports That She Groomed Potential Kavanaugh Clerks Are 100% False)

Koegler said he remembered the timing of her admission because it was shortly after the sentencing of ex-Stanford University swimmer Brock Turner, who was convicted of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman.

Blasey Ford was expressing “anger at Mr. Turners lenient sentence, stating that she was particularly bothered by it because she was assaulted in high school by a man who was now a federal judge in Washington, D.C.,” his statement reads.

The other two affidavits did not say Blasey Ford mentioned Kavanaugh by name, but did say she told them she was sexually assaulted by someone who became a federal judge.

A family friend, Adela Gildo-Mazzon, said Blasey Ford was “visibly upset” at a dinner they had together in 2013 and she told Gildo-Mazzon that she had been “almost raped by someone who was now a federal judge.”

Blasey Ford told her the situation has impacted her life ever since.

The sworn declaration from Rebecca White says Blasey Ford shared her story of sexual assault with her in 2017 after White shared her own story of assault on a social media post.

The declarations will reportedly be used by Fords lawyers in Thursdays hearing in an attempt to corroborate Blasey Fords allegations against Kavanaugh.

The embattled judge is also facing sexual assault allegations from a fellow student at Yale University, Deborah Ramirez, who claims Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a drunken dorm party sometime between the 1983-84 school year.
