Waistcoats

Our relationship with the two-piece suit is turning into a ménage a trois with the resurrection of the classic waistcoat. Wear the vest alone (and to a formal event, à la Ralph Lauren), or with a full suit (and feel like a badass).

Hot Pants

Who wears short shorts? If youre a Brandon Maxwell or Longchamp woman, you do. Set your expectations high and keep your inseams higher with the newest versions of hot pants that are so tiny they might qualify as underwear. Whether you choose a style in leather, satin, or denim, these shorties will make your legs go on for days, months, and even years.

Corsetry

Last seasons trend guide saw the beginning of a Renaissance love affair, but designers like Khaite are bringing corsets into the mix. Snatch that waist with sheer bodices, traditional boning, and more bustiers we cant wait to wear next Spring.

White Suiting

A white suit can seem intimidating, but the versions seen at Deveaux (photographer Tommy Tons second foray behind a runway, not a camera), transition the monochrome set into daily wear. Alternatively, you can opt for a sleek silhouettes like at Jonathan Simkhai, Tory Burch, and Prabal Gurung.

When designers arent thinking small—in terms of short shorts—theyre suggesting a super wide-legged pant for Spring. Test it in a trending cargo like we saw at Tibi, or go all out with Carolina Herreras tent-like trousers.
