You can now buy doughnuts filled with bourbon – and we need them
The doughnut is perfect. A spherical ball of deep-fried, cakey perfection. But there is one way to make doughnuts even better. Add booze, obviously.
Crosstown is launching bespoke bourbon doughuts this month – for people who like their cake with a side of alcohol. And they are giving away 200 for free today at their Soho branch in London.
The Makers Mark Bourbon & Butterscotch Doughnut is launching ahead of London Cocktail Week 2019 and features Crosstowns black cocoa sourdough, filled with a Makers Mark Bourbon custard to balance its sweet butterscotch glaze.
Its then been topped with a red chocolate cross and nut crumble containing Red Winter Wheat – an ingredient used in every bottle of Makers Mark instead of traditionally used rye, for a smoother taste.
There are 200 up for grabs from 1pm today at Crosstown Soho, but its first-come-first-serve so youll have to be quick.

If you dont manage to snap up a freebie, dont worry, the official launch of the new boozy flavour is on Friday 27 September, but they are limited edition, so only available until Wednesday 30 October.
The new flavour will be available in the full-size Crosstown style as well as a mini Doughbite.
