Benfica boss Rui Vitoria believes Victor Lindelof will come good at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho and insists the Manchester United star needs a period of adjustment to adapt to English football.
The Swedish centre-back has found himself out in the cold since joining the Premier League giants from Benfica in a £30million deal.
Lindelof has made just one appearance off the bench in league action so far this season, although he has two starts under his belt in the Champions League.
As he gears up to face his former side in Lisbon on Wednesday, the 23-year-old was heavily praised by his former manager Vitoria.
And the Portuguese tactician believes Lindelof has the ‘competitive’ edge to succeed in the Premier League.
‘He is a very high-quality player, he has been playing with Jose Mourinho,’ Vitoria said.

‘Of course when you move from the Portuguese championship to an English championship, so there is a phase, a stage of adaptation.
‘But I do foresee that in the future Lindelof will be a player of Jose Mourinho’s team. He has a lot of value, he is very cold, very competitive and has a great deal of quality.’
