Philippe Coutinho doubled the visitors’ lead on 13 minutes before Mohamed Salah scored a brace to give the Reds a 4-0 cushion at the break.
As well as essentially securing a valuable three points in their tight Champions League group, the impressive display ensured Liverpool became the only English club to score four goals in a Champions League game away from home.
Firmino scored his second of the evening after the break and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Trent Alexander-Arnold both scored a late goal as Klopp’s charge cruised to an emphatic and important 7-0 win.
