Carlo Ancelotti was present in the stands to watch Chelsea take on Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday night as he takes a break from management after his Bayern Munich sacking.
The Italian boss rocked up at Stamford Bridge to cast his eye over two teams he knows well, having won the double with Chelsea as a manager and Serie A with Roma as a player.
But while he has very legitimate reasons just to be there to enjoy the game, a selection of Blues supporters were unconvinced by his intentions.
‘It’s a pleasure to return to Stamford Bridge to enjoy a great Champions match,’ he posted on Twitter.
However, with Antonio Conte’s side struggling in the Premier League after back-to-back losses to Manchester City and Crystal Palace, some observers suspect the former Juventus boss is under pressure.
And Chelsea fans on Twitter think Ancelotti’s secretly plotting a return to Stamford Bridge.
Haha Carlo Ancelotti one savage Italian. Man at the Bridge lurking for his fellow countryman's job.
