Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says Marcos Rojo will be fit and ready to play in two weeks’ time against Chelsea.
The Argentine has been out of action since April after he tore his anterior cruciate ligament in a Europa League clash against Anderlecht.
The defender has been training with the first team for over six weeks and is part of Mourinho’s 18-man squad for tonight’s Champions League clash against Benfica.
However, Mourinho says he’s not ready to play and instead gave him a target of United’s clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on November 5th.
‘Rojo is not coming to play but he is coming with the team to train with the group,’ said Mourinho.
‘I would say probably in two weeks Marcos is ready to play.’
Mourinho has failed to settle on a regular left-back so far this term and has switched between the likes of Daley Blind, Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian.
Luke Shaw is yet to start a match this season but is also part of the squad to face Benfica.
