Per Mertesacker insists Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are fully committed to Arsenal despite entering the final year of their contracts at the Emirates.
The duo have so far failed to agree new deals with the club and are expected to leave for free next summer.
Sanchez had numerous offers in the summer and was desperate to join Manchester City, while Ozil has recently attracted interest from Manchester United.
Ozil came in for criticism for his cameo performance in Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Watford on the weekend but Mertesacker says both players are focused on the club.
‘Yes. Everyone has to do his job 100 per cent otherwise they are not eligible to be on the pitch,’ said Mertesacker.
‘As long as everyone understands that then we are fine and you won’t get problems from me. If I have a different feeling then it would be addressed.
‘I have no problems with players in their final year, that includes me as well. The only issue I’ve got is if they’re not fully committed to what we’re doing here.’
