Antonio Conte warned Jose Mourinho not to talk about Chelsea and to focus on Manchester United after his side’s 3-3 draw with Roma at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho appeared to take a thinly-veiled dig at Conte after his side’s 1-0 win against Benfica by saying he wouldn’t ‘cry’ about injuries like some other managers in the league.
Mourinho didn’t specify that he was talking about Chelsea but Conte has recently bemoaned the losses of Alvaro Morata and N’Golo Kante to injuries.
And the Italian was quick to respond to Mourinho after his side’s draw, telling the former Chelsea boss to stop talking about the Blues.
‘A lot of time Mourinho has to see what happens at Chelsea,’ Conte said.
‘A lot of time, also last season. I think he has to think about his team and stop… to look at himself, not the others.’
The pair clashed twice last season; first when Mourinho had a word in the air of Conte after Chelsea’s 4-0 league win in October and then during Chelsea’s controversial 1-0 win in the FA Cup quarter final.
Chelsea host Manchester United on November 5th at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
