Bayern Munich star James Rodriguez linked with shock move to MLS :-: talkSPORT

James Rodriguez could be set for a swift Bayern Munich exit

James Rodriguez could have his Bayern Munich loan cut short in favour of a move to America.

The Colombian playmaker joined Bayern from Real Madrid in the summer on a two-year loan after finding first-team opportunities at the Bernabeu hard to come by.

He started a total of just 30 La Liga games across the past two seasons and decided a move away was his best bet.

It was reported that he came very close to joining Manchester United in the summer after months of speculation but they missed out when he agreed the 24-month spell in Germany instead.

However, things have not exactly gone to plan at the Allianz Arena and he has so far started just one Bundesliga game.

His cause has not been helped by the sacking of former manager Carlo Ancelotti, who was instrumental in Rodriguez joining Bayern.

And now, according to Don Balon, the agreement could be terminated after a matter of months so he could find a club willing to play him more regularly.

United, Juventus and Inter Milan all remain interested and Madrid would reportedly favour a move to another European club.

But now it has been suggested that Rodriguez, still just 26, is a target for clubs in the MLS and one of them may be about to break the bank in order to lure him across the Atlantic.
