Real Madrid star Karim Benzema is happy to stay at the club and is not interested in a move to Arsenal, according to his agent.
Reports in Spain this week claimed Arsenal had tabled a bid for the Frenchman, who was said to be ‘keen’ on a move to the Premier League.
Benzema has long been linked with a move to the Emirates but Alexandre Lacazette’s £52million move to the Gunners appeared to end the club’s interest in him.
However, the 29-year-old’s agent has put an end to the speculation once and for all by revealing he wants to stay at the Bernabeu.
‘Benzema is very happy at Real Madrid,’ his agent told Sky Sports.
‘[He has ] absolutely no intention of leaving club.’
Arsenal continue their Europa League campaign away at Red Star Belgrade tonight.
A third consecutive win would all but seal Arsenal’s passage to the knockout stages and would mean they’re able to rest players in their final matches.
