If asked to name the best attacking player of the 2017-18 season across Europe, the usual names would pop up.
Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale would be expected candidates at the top of that ranking, but the stats tell a different story.
Based on total goal actions (total goals + total assists) in 2017-18, Ciro Immobile has been the greatest attacker throughout Europe's top five leagues, with an incredible 20 goal actions (14 goals and six assists) in just 11 matches.
In fact, the Lazio forward has both scored the most goals AND recorded the most assists in Serie A so far this term
