FBI joins search for missing three-year-old
The FBI has joined the search for a three-year-old girl who disappeared after her mother put her to bed at the weekend.
Mariah Woods has been missing from Jacksonville, North Carolina since Sunday night.
The girl's mother, Kirsty Woods, has made an emotional plea for the safe return of her "angel".
She said: "Please, bring her back and I love her, I'll do anything that I can. Whatever you want, just bring her home please safe and sound. She's my baby she's my everything."
An amber alert was issued shortly after she was reported missing at 6am on Monday.
Onslow County Sheriff Department has said it is too early to speculate on what has happened, ABC News reported.
A reward of $2,500 is on offer for any reliable information.
The US Department of Justice states that an amber alert usually indicates a child aged 17 and under is at immediate risk of harm or injury.
