Lindsey Vonn says she definitely wouldn’t accept an invitation to the White House
Any US athlete who takes home gold in the Winter Olympics gets the honor of shaking the president’s hand in the White House.
But one person who won’t be touching Donald Trump next year is Lindsey Vonn.

The 33-year-old skier made it so, so clear that she would turn down an invitation if she wins in Pyeongchang.
Vonn told CNN: ‘Well I hope to represent the people of the United States, not the president.
‘I take the Olympics very seriously and what they mean and what they represent, what walking under our flag means in the opening ceremony.

‘I want to represent our country well. I don’t think that there are a lot of people currently in our government that do that.’
Asked if she’d go and meet Trump, she replied: ‘Absolutely not. No. But I have to win to be invited. No actually I think every US team member is invited so no I won’t go.’

Vonn is hailed as America’s best female ski racer.
The upcoming Winter Olympics will be her first since Vancouver in 2010 where her appearance made her one of the best paid winter athletes.
She has a net worth of around $3 million, according to Forbes.
Vonn has suffered a catalog of injuries throughout her career.
In 2013, a knee injury threw her out of the Sochi Olympics. She broke her arm last year and is still recovering from nerve damage.
