Greggs launches bottles of one of the Festive Bake’s most crucial ingredients
Is there anything more Christmas-y than a Festive Bake? The answer you’re looking for is ‘nope’.*
*Apart from spending time with family, the joy of giving presents, and a proper turkey dinner, we guess.
One of the highlights of every December is Greggs’ re-launch of the Festive Bake. A firm fan-favourite, the Christmas dinner-filled pastry is the perfect way to get in the festive spirit.
The only downside? You have to leave the warmth of your house to grab one.
However, you can now re-create the tasty pastry at home – aka, you can quit having to brave the cold for your favourite savoury tweet.
Greggs has launched a bottle of one of the Festive Bake’s most crucial ingredients – the ‘crunchy crumb’ that’s sprinkled on top of the £1.50 Festive Bake, which, just in case you need reminding, is a lattice pastry filled with chicken, sage and onion stuffing, bacon and cranberry all mixed up in a creamy cranberry and sage white sauce.
The only downside? The powdery goodness is not available to everyone. There’s only 500 bottles of the stuff up for grabs – and you have to compete for it.
All you have to do is tweet Greggs or head to one of four participating stores on Wednesday 20 December from 10am. They’ll then be free for anyone quick enough to get their hands on one.
Where can you get the Greggs Festive Bake Sprinkles?
Participating stores include 3 Beast Market Hill in Nottingham, 54 New George Street in Plymouth, 34 Queen Street in Cardiff and the Waverley Mall Shopping Centre in Edinburgh.
A Greggs spokesperson said: ‘Festive Bake fans ask us all year round when they can get their hands on them, so we’re giving customers the chance to enjoy the classic taste whenever they want and on whatever they want.
‘Festive Bake Sprinkles are perfect sprinkled on foods like roast potatoes and turkey, and are a delicious way to jazz up soggy sprouts.’

If, like us, you’re unfortunate enough to not live near any participating store offering the Festive Bake Sprinkles – you can always stock up on Festive Bakes instead.
They’re available until 27 December – which means you have just a week left to eat as many as you can.
