Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is confident of beating Barcelona and Bayern Munich to a £60million move for Paulo Dybala, according to reports.

Dybala has become one of the superstars of Serie A since signing for Juventus two years ago, scoring 57 goals in 119 games for the Italian giants.

The Argentina international has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Premier League and the Daily Star say Mourinho is determined to bring him to Old Trafford next summer.

Mourinho knows his squad needs strengthening in the next two transfer windows to keep pace with Premier League high-flyers Manchester City.

In order to entice Dybala to the Theatre of Dreams, it is claimed Mourinho is willing to let Henrikh Mkhitaryan leave. Dybala is reportedly viewed as a perfect fit for United due to his pace and creativity.

But the 24-year-old is attracting interest from a number of clubs, with Barcelona and Bayern Munich also keen to land his signature.

It is claimed La Liga heavyweights Barca believe Dybala can be Neymar’s long-term replacement but look set to miss out as United push ahead with a move.

United, who are second in the Premier League, dropped points at Leicester City at the weekend and Mourinho was highly critical of his players.
