Boots launches brand new vegan lunch options and they look pretty tasty
Veganuary is a blessing for many, many reasons.
Firstly, new vegans get to have a go at being vegan at the same time as loads of other people, thus having a huge support network.
Secondly, people who are already vegan get to reap the rewards of businesses fighting for the business of the sudden influx of vegan punters. It’s a win-win situation for all.
So far this month, we’ve had Pret adding three new plant-based dishes to the menu, Quorn announcing its first ever vegan deli slices, and Tesco launching Wicked Kitchen (a hella delicious – and huge – range of plant-based grab-and-go foods and ready meals).
This time it’s the turn of meal deal legends, Boots, who have just launched four brand spanking new vegan products – all of which count as one of your five a day. Get in!
Oh, and good news, lads – they’re all in the meal deal.
Boots coronation veggies sandwich, £2.75
Roasted spiced cauliflower, carrots and chickpeas in a vegan coronation dressing with spinach on malted bread.
Boots tandoori beetroot flatbread, £2.75
Roast beetroot and spicy tikka houmous nestled betwixt a tomato, chickpea, onion and coriander kachumber mix, with vegan mint and cucumber mayonnaise raita and spinach.
All tucked up comfortably into a wheat khobez flatbread.
Boots samosa veggies wrap, £2.75
Onion and potato bhaji with spiced pumpkin, sweet potato, peas, carrots and chilli in a vegan mayonnaise (yas kween!) with spinach, in a wheat tortilla wrap.
Mayo-loving vegans everywhere are doing little happy dances, because mainstream companies have finally discovered egg-free mayo.

Boots sweet potato falafel veggie box, £3.25
In this box, you’ll find mixed grains with sweet potato falafel and avocado houmous. Oh yes, we said avocado humous. *millennial sensory overload*
The range is available in all Boots stores, however not all products will be in every single store.
They’re all limited edition and only available for a limited period of time – so you’d better get in quick if you like the sound of them.
May the vegan options continue to rain down on us. Like (really well looked after) cats and dogs.
