This Soccer Team Owner Carrying A Gun On The Sidelines Is A Sports Hero

Greek soccer team POAK owner Ivan Savvidis interrupted a game Sunday with a revolver strapped to his hip.
ESPN’s Darren Rovell tweeted early Monday morning, “Ivan Savvidis, owner of Greek soccer team PAOK, ran on the field after his team’s goal in the 89th minute was blown dead after an offsides call. Savvidis (as seen here) was also carrying a gun.”

Now, I’m sure a lot of you negative people out there think this is an outrageous move. You’d all be very wrong. I want owners who are strapped on the sidelines. Raise the stakes, my friends. Raise the stakes.
I want owners ready to blow people away if things go wrong. Forget all the billionaires with armed bodyguards. That’s cool too, but this Savvidis character is in a league of his own. Imagine the balls you’d have to have to run onto the field after a goal, and having a presumably loaded weapon on your hip.
He’s also making zero attempt to hide it all. It’s sitting there right in the open. It’s almost like he’s trying to intimidate people. The Russian-Greek businessman could have easily gotten an inside the waistband holster and put on a jacket. Instead, he opts to just rock it for the world to see, which is of course completely illegal in Greece.
I want to start seeing a little more of this in America. Give me owners with AR-15s and shotguns on the sidelines. After all, you never can be too safe.
