The top of the New York Yankees lineup is incredible. There is no other way to describe it. Its obviously as early in the season as it can get, but it looks like any opposing pitcher who faces this Yankees team is in a lot of trouble.

The Yankees played their first game of the season Thursday afternoon, beating the Toronto Blue Jays 6-1 and their newest star Giancarlo Stanton was amazing. Stantons first plate appearance as a New York Yankee was an opposite field home run that off the bat didnt even look he got all of it. As it turns out it was actually the hardest hit Statcast, active in all thirty MLB stadiums since 2015, has ever recorded. He followed that up with a monster home run in the eighth, capping off a 3 hit, 4 RBI day.

Aaron Judge got off too a good start with two hits and is coming off a five-game hitting streak to end an impressive spring training. Gary Sanchez, probably the best hitting catcher in baseball, and leadoff man Brett Gardner combined for two RBIs. Paired with impressive performances from Luis Severino and the Yankee bullpen, this team looked every bit as good as its been advertised.

If they get good pitching, its hard to see the Yankees losing many games with this lineup. Like today, the top of this order can get a starting pitcher out of the game early. When the scores close and Judge, Stanton and Sanchez come up to bat for the third time, if one man gets on base you have to consider taking out your starting pitcher.

Getting to opponents bullpen will naturally lead to success for the Yankees.

It is definitely early but it looks like this Yankees lineup is going to be a dominant force this year in the MLB.
