How These Student Military Cadets Honored Barbara Bush As She Was Laid To Rest Was Just Stunning

America lost a legend in Barbara Bush this week, but our military was not about to let her go without the proper honor.

After First Lady Barbara Bush passed away at the age of 92, the nation mourned. Her Secret Service refused to leave her casket. Thousands lined up to pay respects to the Bush family at St. Martins Episcopal Church in Houston. Her funeral was attended by Melania Trump, Barack and Michelle Obama, and Bill and Hillary Clinton.

After the service, the Bush family accompanied Barbaras casket to the Bush presidential library in College Station, Texas. Well-wishers and mourners lined the road as the hearse drove by.

Once the hearse entered the library property, there was a stunning student military group display waiting to honor Barbara. The drive was lined with 700 of Texas A&Ms Corps of Cadets, uniformed and at attention.

According to their website:

The Corps is the largest, oldest and most visible student organization and leadership training program at Texas A&M. It is also one of the largest uniformed bodies of students in the nation.

A majority of our leadership training graduates pursue a career in the public or private sector; however, the Corps of Cadets consistently commissions more officers than any institution other than the service academies. An average of 40-45% of our cadets pursue a military commission in the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps.

Through the Corps of Cadets, you can excel as a leader through participation in the premiere values-based military and civilian leadership program in the country.
