Jay Feely Is A Smoke Room Hero For Having A Gun In His Daughters Prom Picture
Former NFL kicker Jay Feely is officially a hero of The Smoke Room after strapping up for his daughters prom picture.
Feely posted a photo over the weekend of himself between his daughter and her prom date, and naturally the internet got extremely pissed because the former NFL kicker was holding a handgun. The internet lynch mob eventually pressured him into an unnecessary explanation.

The prom picture I posted was obviously intended to be a joke. My Daughter has dated her boyfriend for over a year and they knew I was joking.

The haters online are absolute losers and clowns. This photo was awesome on every level, and I dont understand how anybody could ever not find it hilarious. Dads threatening the boyfriends of their daughters with firearms is a tale as old as time.
What type of society are we living in where fathers are ridiculed and mocked for having the urge to protect their daughters? Is that a society anybody wants to live in? My only problem in this photo is that he didnt opt for something with a bit more of a punch. Forget the handgun. Grab an AR-15, shotgun or a .50 caliber rifle. Let that guy know that you have the means to intervene from hundreds of yards away.
Feely didnt do anything wrong, and shouldnt have ever sent the followup tweet. He took an awesome photo with his daughter, and yes, he had a gun. You best believe that I want all the parents in this world locked, cocked and ready to rock in the event anything happens to their kids. There shouldnt be enough body armor on the planet to protect anybody who hurts a guys daughter or any other family member. Yes, its also okay to also bring a little humor to that dynamic, which this picture did. The haters can get lost until they find a sense of humor.
