Super Bowl Favorite Has The Easiest Schedule Next Season

The New England Patriots have the weakest schedule for the second year in a row this upcoming season, according to the Washington Post.

Only two of New Englands 16 opponents next season are projected to go above .500: the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers.

Despite having matchups against the Steelers, the Packers, the Vikings and the Jaguars, the Pats easy road to the playoffs is because of the AFC East. Neither the Miami Dolphins, the Buffalo Bills, nor the New York Jets are expected to reach the postseason.

Sports books project the Bills and the Dolphins to win around seven games, and the Jets to win five. The Patriots are pegged to win 11 games.

Of course, all this could change depending on how these teams add to their squads in the offseason.

During the Belichick era, the Patriots have won the AFC East 15 times in 18 seasons, including nine consecutive AFC East division titles, a NFL record.

According to sports books, the Patriots are the favorites to win the Super Bowl next year.
