Cleveland, led by new general manager John Dorsey, selected Baker Mayfield with the first overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft last month. They also added Denzel Ward with the fourth overall pick, and selected Nick Chubb, a highly touted running back from University of Georgia.
They traded for one of the leagues best slot receivers in Jarvis Landry, while also acquiring Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor. Taylor will probably start the season as the starter to give Mayfield time to learn and grow. The team also signed running back Carlos Hyde.
The Cleveland Browns have only had two winning seasons since 1999, and havent made the playoffs since 2002, the longest drought in the NFL.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the featured team during last years season of “Hard Knocks.”
Overall, teams that have been on “Hard Knocks” have made the playoffs five times in the shows 12-year existence.
