Heres Why Everybody Should Be Cheering For Johnny Manziel

Johnny Manziel has officially been a professional football player again for a few days, and its important that we recognize why we should be supporting this comeback.

Theres no question at all that Manziel has done some incredibly stupid things. There are Google pages full of examples. Theres no question that he shot his way right out of the NFL due to his party habits and inability to behave like a professional.

Thats why he hasnt thrown a football in a pro game in over two years. Well, that should all change now because hes a member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats up in the CFL. (RELATED: WATCH JOHNNY MANZIEL TALK ABOUT HIS FIRST PRO FOOTBALL PRACTICE IN OVER TWO YEARS)

There were so many people that cheered when they watched his downfall. There always people who cheer when they see the downfall of successful people. Its the sad reality of the world we live in. People want stuff, dont get it, and then find problems with those who do. Again, this isnt to say that Manziels not responsible for his downfall. He is, but we live in a culture that embraced it and encouraged his downward spiral into darkness.

Well, hes finally turned his life around and appears ready to just play ball again. A return to the football field signifies that things are changing for the better. Notice how few people seem to be supporting this achievement? Notice how everybody piled it on when he was coming down, but the cannons are relatively silent on his ascent back into football? Ive watched a lot of athletes and people in general refuse to put in the time to turn things around. They want a quick fix. They want problems solved immediately. They want to be in the NBA, but they dont want to be in a gym for 14 hours a day. They want to be in the NHL, but arent prepared to play wherever junior leagues take them first. Everybody wants the big paycheck. Few people want to claw and fight at all times for it.

Manziel used to have the attitude that he was owed the world. Its a quality that is pretty much a requirement for a downfall in sports. Hopefully, hes truly changed because it would show hes willing to do what most people arent. Hes willing to put in the work and play where ever he can to just keep playing football.
