Another day, another impossible body standard for women.

This time around were being told our arms are too bloody short. Unless your hands graze your knees, fashion is not for you, pals.

Thats the message Laura Palmer, 26, received when she was sent a bodysuit with sleeves suitable only for Mr Tickle (you know, the Mr Men character with extremely long arms).

Laura had ordered the size 8 floral bodysuit from Pretty Little Thing on 21 May, in time for her birthday night out.

She was a little confused when she opened the package and found that the bodysuits sleeves drowned her arms and reached to below her knees.

Thankfully, rather than feeling rubbish about the length of her arms, 5ft 2 Laura couldnt stop laughing at her look, snapping a picture of herself rocking the bodysuit and sending it to her friends.

But she was left on dumbfounded on May 24 when she discovered the sleeves dwarfed her arms and reached to below her knees. In Pretty Little Things defence, the model photos of the bodysuit do show the sleeves as a touch longer than standard, hitting midway down the models hands.

But come on – sleeves down to your knees? Thats a bit much.

Pretty Little Thing apologised for the issue and offered a full refund, so all was well.

Pretty Little Thing spokesperson said: Were sorry for the inconvenience caused to the customer. We will be offering a full refund and reviewing the product in question

I had bought it to wear on my birthday night out but I ended up having to find something else, said Laura.

When it arrived I was like any other girl and ripped the package open to see what it was like.

When I got it out it looked big, but it wasnt until I put it on that I realised just how big it was.

Im quite short but there is no way I am that short for the sleeves to be so long, they were swinging past my knees. I couldnt wear that for a night out.

Its like something only Mr Tickle could wear with his long arms and not an actual person.

It did make me laugh which is why I posted the picture online because it was so unusual. My friends found it funny too.

I think I just received a faulty cut. In the pictures online it did have quite long sleeves but they definitely werent past the models knees

Im not having a go at Pretty Little Thing because when you are making so many pieces of clothing things can slip through the net.

I just found the length of the sleeves hilarious and so did my friends.
