Burberry is collaborating the original British punk, Vivienne Westwood
Riccardo Tisci hasnt even dropped his first collection for Burberry since taking over from Christopher Bailey, and hes got a superstar collaboration underway.
In a series of Instagram posts, the creative director announced that Burberry will be teaming up with the original British punk, Dame Vivienne Westwood.
Vivienne was one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer… I am SO honoured to announce a new Burbs collaboration with the original British PUNK, he said.
She is a rebel, a punk and unrivalled in her unique representation of British style, which has inspired so many of us. I am so incredibly proud of what we will be creating together.
Although its not known exactly what the collab will involve, it looks like the collection is going to feature re-worked pieces from Westwoods archive.
But Vivienne Westwood isnt just a fashion legend; shes also arguably one of Britains most influential environmentalists too. So its no surprise that this collection is going to be supporting the rainforest charity, Cool Earth.
You wont be able to get your hands on any of the pieces until December…which buys you a bit of time to work out where the hell youll get enough cash from to afford any of it.
