It took Rosie ODonnell a year until she could “compose herself” after Trump won the presidency.
ODonnell opened up about the stress that Trump winning the presidency caused her on election night while speaking on Nicolle Wallaces MSNBC show called “Deadline: White House.” ODonnell said she got “physically sick” after Trump won in 2016 and that it took a long time for her to recover.
Wallace asked Rosie bluntly, “What was it like for you when [Trump] won?”
“It was horrible,” the comedian said. Rosie told a story about how she leaned on her therapist coaching her against “negative” thoughts to get her to election day, but said that Trumps election night victory made her ill. (RELATED: Rosie ODonnell: Send Military To The White House To Get Trump)
“I actually got physically sick that night,” Rosie said, “I thought to myself This cannot be happening. When he got the nomination, I thought I just have to wait until Election Day. And then he won. It took a good year to compose myself in public again. I took a year out of the spotlight.”

Later in the interview, Rosie advocated for a military coup of the Trump White House. “I want to send the military to the White House to get him,” Rosie said during an exchange about Trump sending troops to the southern border. The panel of reporters and journalists bursted into laughter.
