Marks & Spencer ditch Dine In For Two £12 meal deal offer
Marks & Spencer has ditched the £12 set price of its Dine In For Two meal deal and will instead offer a third off a range of mains, sides, desserts and wine.
According to loveMONEY, this could mean you could end up paying over £16 for the exact same meal you would have got with the £12 offer.
The deal, which M&S increased from £10 to £12 in July this year, means that instead of a fixed price, you now have to buy each item with an individual discount.
The lowest possible price you can pay for meals that used to be within the deal comes to over £13, so no matter what you choose, you are guaranteed to pay more.
The popular £10 meal deal was introduced to M&S 10 years ago and included dishes like chimichurri beef steaks, pancetta carbonara, slow-cooked aromatic half duck, a roast chicken or fillets of fish.

Sides included new potatoes, cauliflower cheese and fresh vegetables while pudding could be lemon or carrot cake cheesecake, chocolate peanut tart or whole apple pie.
When M&S increased the price of the deal earlier this year, they said it was to allow more choice for diners and to be able to offer prosecco alongside the red or white wine.

However, just three months on, they have ditched it entirely.
Of course, you can still go to other stores to benefit from a dine for a tenner menu – Tescos Finest Meal Deal for Two, also £10, includes a side, main, dessert and drink with similar dishes to M&S.
